Lets face it, J-LO always looks incredibly flawless! We have to give her and celebrity make up artist Mary Phillips some beauty points for creating this bang on-trend peachy, sun-kissed look. Perfect to kick start our spring beauty-looks, we’re lusting after all the peachy and copper tones in 2017.
The thing about peaches, orange and coppers are they compliment EVERY skin tone and make us look like we have been beautifully kissed by the sun. They’re soft enough to wear in the day but statement enough to take you through the night.
I have recreated this look along with an easy to follow tutorial to help get you glowing in no time. So whether you’ve got a hot date or just want to up your day-to-day beauty look (or you’re a sucker for a video makeup tutorial) give this look a try now!
Step One- Prime your eye with concealer and blend your base shade into the crease with a fluffy brush. This shade can be any lighter, warm brown eye-shadow which is the key to making your finished look appear soft and seamless.
Step Two- Step up the warmth adding a darker orange/brown shadow and start to layer this in the inner and outer corners, blending as you go (for this you can use the same brush). Wrap this colour around the bottom of the eye and blend it out.
Step Three- Choose a metallic copper shade to begin adding the spotlight in the middle of the eye.
Step Four-Build up this intensity in the middle of the eye by layering a lighter metallic shade in the middle of the eye and blending with your finger, I chose a rose gold as they both have a warm under tone which work well together.
Step Five- Intensify the inner and outer corners with a deeper cranberry shade and wrap this underneath the eye and then blend with a clean fluffy blending brush. Add your choice of gel liner, I chose to mimic J-Lo and do a simple black line following the shape of my eye socket to cover up any lash bands.
Step Six- Add your favourite lashes, foundation and concealer.
Step Seven- I used the Sleek contour palette in dark and my favourite Cleapotras’ Kiss highlighting palette as they are both creams which fit perfectly with the soft, dewy skin look J-Lo is wearing on these photos. I also brushed up my brows for a fluffy look, if you prefer a more defined brow that would look amazing as well.
Step Eight- Look complete! You’re ready to slay, day or night and will feel bronzed and sun kissed just like the queen J-Lo. Thanks for the #makeupinspo sister!
Top Tip:It’s great to keep a clean fluffy blending brush with you at all times, just in-case you use too much product and need a little extra blending.
