TRENDING: FRILLS ON FIRE

From the NYFW streets to our favourite celebs, we’re loving flirty frills at the moment. There’s something enticing about putting on some flouncy material and working it; frills add drama and at the same time a feminine prettiness to any outfit.

This season we’ve seen a modern twist on the pretty frill, seeing it added to textured materials and over exaggerated cuts. Leather, denim and gingham have taken the top spot in our wardrobe and we’re lusting after them in the forms of frill-hem style mini’s and trousers with exaggerated kick flares that add serious attitude. You can add a frilled hem into your wardrobe to instantly update an A/W outfit into the perfect Spring ensemble.

Here’s a few images of some amazing ways you can introduce the frill to your favourite outfits and make it your own:

Casual frilling:

Add a frilled shirt to your favourite pair of jeans and work the off duty stylist look like a pro like blogger boss Megan Ellaby.

Frill Power:

Dare to go full throttle and kill two trends at once in a gingham, frill dress like Ellen who adds a mini bag to break up the outfit. LOVE.

Frills on the streets:

Layering frills under a casual camo jacket adds understated glam, rock a gentle frill over a leather trouser or jean for ultimate tomboy cool.

Little Black Frill:

If you’re more of an LBD type of girl like Lea keep it simple in a black number. The added frill detail take this look from basic to babe’in in no time!
